In short
- B2B creator campaigns are judged on demos and pipeline, so pick formats that end in a booking: carousels, webinars, templates and reviews with a clear next step.
- Two related published guides price a LinkedIn post at ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh for 30K to 100K followers. Judge creators by impressions from your target roles, not follower count.
- ASCI found 121 undisclosed paid partnerships on LinkedIn in FY2024-25 and issued an advisory. Put the label at the top of the post.
- Our fact base holds no published B2B creator campaign with results. Run a small test and track demos by creator before scaling.
The influencer campaign ideas that work for B2B put an operator's credibility next to a specific problem and end in a booking: a LinkedIn series by a practitioner, a webinar with a customer, a podcast read that points to one template. This post gives thirteen of them, with the creator type, format, purpose and a rough budget. It is the idea-list companion to our LinkedIn and B2B creator service, our page on influencer marketing for apps and startups, which covers software sold on a free trial, and our guide to influencer marketing in India.
Budgets use the published ranges in our influencer rates guide, plus the LinkedIn and podcast bands published by agency guides, all asking prices for creator fees. GST at 18 percent, reuse rights (about +35 percent in our planning) and a management fee (published benchmarks suggest 15 to 25 percent of creator spend) are extra.
What B2B changes
Three things differ from a consumer campaign. The buyer is usually a committee, so one creator's post has to be useful to someone who will forward it. The audience is small and exact, so impressions from the right job titles matter more than reach. And results arrive months later, so you track leading signals: demo requests, qualified leads, replies from named accounts. One of the Indian guides we reviewed says LinkedIn creators charge two to three times Instagram rates for a similar following, which is why per-impression comparison matters. See micro versus macro for the general case.
Ideas that build authority
- The operator series. A practitioner in your buyer's function writes three posts over three weeks about one problem your product helps solve. Cast: a creator who has done the job. Format: LinkedIn text and carousel posts. Achieves: authority before any pitch. Budget: ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh a post in published guides for 30K to 100K followers, so ₹1.2 to ₹7.2 lakh for three.
- Commentary on your own data. You publish an original report, and two creators add their take on what it means for their peers. Format: LinkedIn post or short video. Achieves: your numbers carried to audiences you do not reach. Budget: ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh a post, so ₹80,000 to ₹4.8 lakh for two.
- The customer teardown. A creator interviews a consenting customer about how they really use the tool. Format: YouTube dedicated video or LinkedIn video. Achieves: proof from a peer, framed by someone the audience trusts. Budget: a micro YouTube dedicated video at ₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh.
- The podcast read. A host reads a short message about a single outcome on a podcast your buyers hear. Cast: a host in your category with 20K to 200K downloads an episode. Achieves: an operator audience in a commute. Budget: ₹30,000 to ₹3 lakh a mid-roll in published guides.
Ideas that create demand
- The carousel with a template. A creator posts a problem-first document carousel and offers a free template that uses your product, behind a form. Format: LinkedIn carousel. Achieves: leads who raised their hand for something useful. Budget: ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh a post.
- The co-hosted webinar. A creator and one of your customers run a live session on a real workflow, with registration. Format: LinkedIn or YouTube live. Achieves: registrations from the right roles and a recording to reuse. Budget: plan on the cost of two LinkedIn posts, ₹80,000 to ₹4.8 lakh.
- The tool review for operators. A tech or finance channel reviews your product for small-business owners or finance teams. Format: YouTube integration. Achieves: search-friendly proof that stays online. Budget: micro ₹15,000 to ₹60,000, mid-tier ₹60,000 to ₹2.5 lakh; tech and finance creators charge premiums.
- Hindi Shorts for shop and SME owners. Business creators explain your tool in sixty seconds, in Hindi, to owners who decide alone. Cast: six micro creators who speak to small-business owners. Format: YouTube Shorts or Reels. Achieves: reach where the buyer is one person, not a committee. Budget: ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 each, so ₹48,000 to ₹2.4 lakh.
- The account-based creator list. You find the five creators your target accounts actually follow and brief them on one topic. Format: LinkedIn posts. Achieves: presence in the feeds of the 100 companies you want. Budget: a macro LinkedIn post at ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh in one platform's band, so ₹2.5 to ₹10 lakh for five.
Ideas that support sales and hiring
- Posts as sales assets. With the creator's agreement, you use their posts in outbound sequences, proposals and decks. Achieves: a third-party voice at the moment of doubt. Budget: reuse rights at about +35 percent of the post fee in our planning.
- Paid reach behind the best post. The best post is promoted as a paid ad from the creator's profile, where the creator agrees and the platform permits. Achieves: reach to the exact roles you sell to. Budget: the media you set. Check LinkedIn's current terms for creator-profile ads.
- Conference coverage. A creator attends your event or booth and posts live. Format: LinkedIn posts and short videos. Achieves: a week of content from one day. Budget: one to two posts at ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh. See creator events and meetups.
- Day in the life, for hiring. Employees and a career creator show what working in your team is like. Achieves: applicants who already understand the work. Budget: a career creator at ₹10,000 to ₹35,000 a post in one booking platform's micro band, and staff time. See influencer marketing for employer branding.
How to pick and sequence them
For an eight-week test, run one authority idea (1 or 3), two demand ideas (5 and 6, or 7 and 8) and one sales idea (10). Run the authority idea in weeks 1 to 3 so the audience has met the creator before the offer arrives, the demand ideas in weeks 3 to 6, and the sales idea from week 4 on. Add 9 or 11 only when you know which creator and topic drive demos. Small-business products should lean on 7 and 8, and enterprise products on 1, 6 and 9.
Measure with a required "how did you hear about us" field on the demo form, a tracked link per creator, and a weekly look at branded search. Review at 30, 60 and 90 days. Only 13.3 percent of surveyed brands tie influencer work to formal revenue targets, so agreeing on a demo and pipeline target before the first post puts you ahead of most.
Briefing a B2B creator
A B2B creator's reputation is their living, so they will refuse anything that sounds like a brochure. Give them the buyer's problem in the buyer's words, a real customer story they may use with consent, and a week with the product before they write a line. Ask for their own structure and opinion, and agree the single next step, such as the template link, demo page or webinar form. Keep numbers honest: a post that says "cut payroll time by 60 percent" needs the customer's data behind it, and the brand shares responsibility for the claim. Give them a draft deadline, two revision rounds and a posting window, and ask them to answer comments in the first day, because a buyer who asks a question deserves a reply from a person. Our campaign brief template lists every field, and our vetting checklist shows how to check that a creator's audience is the one you sell to.
Public data (not our work)
Our fact base holds no B2B creator campaign with published results, so we do not borrow a consumer one to make a point. What we can cite is the setting: DataReportal puts LinkedIn's Indian members at about 170 million, a count of registered members rather than active users, and ASCI's enforcement count of 121 LinkedIn disclosure violations. Any agency that claims a specific pipeline multiple from LinkedIn creators should show the method.
Disclosure on LinkedIn
Under the ASCI influencer guidelines, a paid creator post needs a clear label such as Ad, Sponsored, Collaboration or Partnership, upfront and not hidden behind "see more". ASCI found 121 LinkedIn violations in FY2024-25 and issued a targeted advisory for the platform. An employee posting about their own employer uses the label Employee. A customer given free months in return for a testimonial has a material connection, so label that too.
If a webinar collects attendee details, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules 2025 stage their main duties in over about 18 months, which sources put around May 2027, so collect only what you need. Creators discussing stocks or investments need SEBI registration shown upfront under ASCI's Addendum II. This is general information, not legal or tax advice.

Frequently asked questions
How do B2B brands use influencers?
They pay operators and niche experts to publish posts, videos or episodes that address a problem their product solves, and each piece ends in a demo booking, a webinar sign-up or a template download. Results are tracked to the creator by link, code or a required 'how did you hear about us' field. Our LinkedIn and B2B creator service covers the casting.
Which platform is best for B2B influencer marketing in India?
LinkedIn is the first choice for reaching decision makers, with about 170 million Indian members according to DataReportal, though that counts registered members rather than active ones. YouTube suits software reviews and tutorials, and podcasts reach operators on commutes. Small-business buyers are often easier to reach on YouTube and Instagram. See LinkedIn creator content formats.
How much does B2B influencer marketing cost in India?
Published guides put a LinkedIn post at ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh for 30K to 100K followers, a host-read podcast mid-roll at ₹30,000 to ₹3 lakh, and a mid-tier YouTube integration at ₹60,000 to ₹2.5 lakh. Finance and tech creators charge premiums. See our LinkedIn influencer rates guide.
How do you measure B2B influencer marketing?
Count demo requests, sales-qualified leads and pipeline by creator, using tracked links and a required source question on the demo form, then look at branded search in the posting weeks. Sales cycles are long, so review at 30, 60 and 90 days. Only 13.3 percent of surveyed brands tie influencer work to revenue targets. See influencer marketing KPIs.
How many creators does a B2B brand need?
Three to six creators over eight weeks is a workable first programme. That is enough to compare voices and formats without drowning a small sales team in leads. A bigger spread suits brands that sell to several functions. Our SaaS and B2B playbook shows how to cast by buyer role.
Do LinkedIn influencer posts need a disclosure label?
Yes. ASCI found 121 LinkedIn violations in FY2024-25 where professionals did not disclose paid partnerships, and issued a targeted advisory. A clear label such as Ad, Sponsored, Collaboration or Partnership must appear upfront, not behind 'see more'. Employees posting about their employer use the label Employee. See our ASCI guidelines explainer.
