LinkedIn influencer rates in India: what creators charge and how to price a post

Published Indian rate guides put a LinkedIn creator post at ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh for 30K to 100K followers, and one says LinkedIn creators charge two to three times Instagram rates. This post reconciles the sources and shows how to price a post on impressions and audience, not follower count.

In short

  • Published asking prices: ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh a post for 30K to 100K followers (two related guides); a booking platform says ₹10,000 to ₹2 lakh. All low confidence.
  • One guide says LinkedIn creators charge two to three times Instagram rates. Three times its ₹80,000 micro Reel ceiling is its ₹2.4 lakh LinkedIn ceiling: consistent, not independently confirmed.
  • Price on average impressions and the share of the audience in your buyer's roles, not on followers. Ask for the last 10 posts' analytics and the audience's job titles.
  • ASCI recorded 121 LinkedIn disclosure violations in FY2024-25. Put the label in the first line, above the point where LinkedIn folds the post behind a 'see more' link.

A LinkedIn creator with 30K to 100K followers asks about ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 lakh for one post, according to two related Indian rate guides. A booking platform quotes ₹10,000 to ₹35,000 for micro creators and ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh for macro. The sources overlap more than they disagree, and every number is an asking price, not audited deal data.

Our influencer rates guide lists LinkedIn in a platform table and gives it one paragraph. This post goes one level deeper on the one slice that table cannot answer: how to turn those ranges into a fair price for a specific creator. It sits alongside our complete guide to influencer marketing in India and our LinkedIn and B2B creator service.

The booking platform's macro band sits inside the agency band, so a creator with 30K to 100K followers probably lands at the top of "micro" or in "macro" depending on whose tiers you use. The sensible reading is that a mid-sized LinkedIn creator asks tens of thousands to the low lakhs. Beyond 100K followers, ask for quotes and compare them; no published range we found covers it. We also found no published prices for LinkedIn video, document carousels, polls or newsletters, so treat any per-format price list with suspicion.

The two-to-three-times Instagram claim

One of the guides says LinkedIn creators charge two to three times Instagram rates for a similar following. Check the arithmetic. That guide's micro Instagram Reel band is ₹8,000 to ₹80,000. Two to three times is ₹16,000 to ₹2.4 lakh, and the ceiling matches its LinkedIn ceiling exactly. Our reading is that the LinkedIn band was built from the multiplier. That makes the guide consistent with itself, which is not the same as confirmed by anyone else.

Why might the premium exist? The guide does not say. Our reading is that the reader is the buyer. A post seen by 15,000 managers who sign off software or services budgets can be worth more to a B2B brand than a Reel seen by 150,000 viewers who will never buy it. That is a hypothesis to test with the audience data below, not a law.

One number to ignore: DataReportal counts 170 million Indian LinkedIn members, but these are registered members, not active users, and not the reach of any post. Do not use it to estimate what a creator's post will reach.

Price the impression, not the follower

LinkedIn follower counts say little about who sees a post. Ask each creator for three things, and treat a refusal as a signal.

Ask forWhyRed flag
Impressions on the last 10 posts, plus the last 5 in the format you wantAverages beat the one post that travelledOnly the best post is shown
Audience split by job title, industry, seniority, company size and locationShows whether your buyers are there at allAn audience mostly outside India for a domestic product, or mostly students for an enterprise tool
Comments on three recent postsReal peers write specifics; pods write "Great post!"Identical praise from the same accounts, as in engagement pods
Earlier sponsored posts and their impressionsShows how the audience responds to an ad next to the creator's usual postsThe creator has never posted an ad, or hides them

Then divide. Cost per 1,000 target impressions is the fee divided by (average impressions × share of the audience in your target roles) in thousands.

FeeAverage impressionsTarget shareCost per 1,000 impressionsCost per 1,000 target impressions
Creator A₹1,20,00040,00050%₹3,000₹6,000
Creator B₹60,00012,00085%₹5,000₹5,882

Creator A looks 40 percent cheaper on raw impressions and is slightly dearer on useful ones. The shares are assumptions; take yours from each creator's audience screenshots.

If you also buy paid LinkedIn media, you have a second yardstick. One published test calls a creator competitive when cost per engaged view is within 1.5 times your own paid cost, and overpriced at 3 times or more. Use whichever metric you can measure on both sides.

On LinkedIn the creator's voice is the product. A post written by the brand and posted by the creator tends to read like it, and the audience, which includes peers who follow the creator for their judgement, will notice. Brief on the claim you need to make and the proof you can show, then let the creator write. Our post on usage rights shows how to word reposting and ad rights, and the whitelisting cost post shows how the media line is built.

Disclosure: the label goes above the fold

ASCI recorded 121 LinkedIn violations in FY2024-25, where professionals did not disclose paid partnerships, and issued a targeted advisory for the platform (ASCI press release). The ASCI guidelines require a label whenever there is a material connection, including payment, free products and barter. It must be upfront and prominent: not only in a bio, not at the end of a post, not behind a "more" click, and not buried in hashtags.

LinkedIn folds a long post behind a "see more" link after a few lines. So write the label into the first line, for example "Paid partnership with [Brand]" or "Ad", and check the post on a phone before it counts as approved. For a video, the on-screen duration rules apply. For a document carousel, our reading is that the label belongs on the cover slide, since that is what a viewer sees first.

Finance and health creators carry extra rules: relevant qualifications stated upfront for technical advice, and SEBI registration for stock and investment advice. See finfluencer rules under SEBI and our ASCI influencer guidelines explainer.

Three budget shapes

These are our arithmetic from the published bands, not campaign results. Fees are before management fee and GST.

ShapePlanCreator fees
A test3 creators, 1 post each, at ₹45,000 to ₹60,000₹1.35 to ₹1.8 lakh
A pipeline push6 creators, 2 posts each, at ₹40,000 to ₹60,000₹4.8 to ₹7.2 lakh
A slow authority build1 creator, 1 post a month for 6 months, at ₹60,000 to ₹1 lakh₹3.6 to ₹6 lakh

We found no published retainer discount for creators, so ask for a rate lock across the six months instead of assuming one. If you want the extra reach of paid media, add it separately.

Measuring a B2B post

Likes will not tell you whether a buyer saw the post. Put a tracked link or a short memorable URL in the post and add a question to your demo form: "Which creator or post brought you here?" Review at 30 days rather than 3, since B2B replies can lag the post by days or weeks. Our posts on UTM links and influencer marketing attribution show how to set that up.

No reliable Indian benchmark exists for cost per lead from creator posts, so we do not quote one. Decide your own threshold from your sales cycle: how many qualified conversations the budget must produce for the maths to work.

When LinkedIn is the wrong buy

  • The buyer does not make the decision at work. A shampoo or a sneaker has no professional audience on LinkedIn. Compare Instagram and YouTube rates instead.
  • The creator's audience is mostly peers, not buyers. A founder followed by other founders is a good channel only if founders buy from you.
  • You cannot track. If no form, link or call script can tell you where a lead came from, you are paying a premium for a number you cannot read.

Podcasts are another format priced by audience rather than followers; see our post on podcast sponsorship rates in India. To build a LinkedIn plan with vetted creators and their audience data attached to each quote, see our LinkedIn and B2B service or send us a brief.

Frequently asked questions

How much do LinkedIn influencers charge in India?

Published asking prices run from about ₹10,000 for a small creator to ₹2.5 lakh for a post from a creator with 30K to 100K followers. Two related guides give ₹40,000 to ₹2.4 or ₹2.5 lakh for that band. A booking platform gives ₹10,000 to ₹35,000 for micro and ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh for macro. All are low confidence. See the influencer rates guide.

Why are LinkedIn influencer rates higher than Instagram?

One guide says LinkedIn creators charge two to three times Instagram rates for a similar following. It does not explain why. Our reading is that a smaller audience of decision makers is worth more to a B2B brand than a larger audience of casual viewers. Check that reading against the audience split before you pay a premium.

Should I price a LinkedIn post by followers or impressions?

Impressions. Followers on LinkedIn say little about who sees a post. Ask for impressions on the last 10 posts, then divide the fee by the share of those impressions that fall in your buyer's job titles and industries. A creator with fewer followers and a sharper audience can cost less per useful impression.

Do LinkedIn creators have to disclose paid posts in India?

Yes. ASCI requires a clear label whenever there is a material connection with the advertiser, including payment, free products and barter. The label must be upfront and prominent, not behind a 'more' click. ASCI recorded 121 LinkedIn violations in FY2024-25. See our disclosure guide.

What is a fair rate for a small LinkedIn creator under 30,000 followers?

No source we found publishes a rate for that size. A booking platform's micro band of ₹10,000 to ₹35,000 is the nearest reference, but it does not define micro. Get three quotes, ask for average impressions, and compare cost per 1,000 target impressions rather than fee against fee.

What should a LinkedIn creator contract include?

The post type and count, who writes the copy, the exact disclosure label and where it sits, approval and revision rounds, a minimum live period, whether you may repost or run the post as an ad, exclusivity against named competitors, and the payment schedule with GST and TDS. See our influencer contract guide.

Is LinkedIn influencer marketing worth it for B2B brands?

It can be, if you measure demos and qualified conversations rather than likes. We cannot promise a result, and no reliable Indian benchmark exists for cost per lead from creator posts. Run a small test with tracked links and a form question that asks how the lead heard of you. See our B2B and SaaS playbook.
