In short

  • Indore is a food-led creator market. Poha-jalebi mornings, Sarafa nights and Chappan Dukan evenings give brands three daily moments for content.
  • Packaged food, QSR, D2C, coaching and trade brands are the natural fits. We cast Hindi creators with Malwi flavour from the neighbourhood your buyer lives in.
  • Rang Panchami Gair, Anant Chaturdashi jhankis, Navratri and Diwali are the city's biggest local campaign moments.
  • Local creators handle the tastings; we plan from New Delhi and travel in for launches. There is no Indore office.

Influencer Gully runs campaigns for Indore brands from New Delhi, casting Hindi-speaking creators whose speech carries the city's Malwi flavour. Creators are briefed remotely, and our strategist travels in for tastings, launches and meetups. There is no Indore office: local creators and careful planning do the on-the-ground work.

If you are looking for an influencer marketing agency in Indore, expect the brief to start with food. The city is known for its eating culture, and the creators who work in it are among the best-followed in Madhya Pradesh. But Indore is also a trading city, a student city and a manufacturing centre, and each of these needs a different creator.

Start with the plate

Indore's day is organised around where and when people eat. That is also how its creators film.

WhereWhenWhat is on the plateWhat creators film
Rajwada, Chhoti Gwaltoli, KhajranaMorningPoha with jalebi, kachori, sev, shikanjiBreakfast rituals, "first meal in Indore" content
Chappan Dukan (56 Dukan)Late afternoon and eveningChaat, kachori, shakes, sandwichesSeated street food, family and student outings
Sarafa BazaarNight, after jewellers' shutters closeBhutte ka kees, garadu in winter, sabudana khichdi, malpua, jalebaNight-market walks, "must-try" lists
Vijay Nagar and PalasiaAll dayCafés, QSR chains, new restaurantsNew-opening reviews, delivery comparisons
Bhawarkuan and AB RoadMiddayTiffin, budget thalis, student cafésStudent meals, price-first content

Two things follow for a brand. First, timing is part of the creative: a Sarafa Reel at 10 a.m. is a different video from one at 10 p.m. Second, the audience watching each of these creators is different: tourists and families at Sarafa, students at Bhawarkuan, young professionals at Vijay Nagar.

Indore's economy and the brands in it

Indore is often called Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital. For influencer work, the relevant clusters are:

  • Namkeen, sweets and food processing. Indore's snack tradition is a national brand, and packaged-food companies use creators for recipes, "snack hack" content and taste tests. See FMCG, food and beverage.
  • Trading and jewellery. Sarafa, the city's jewellery market, turns into a food street at night. Jewellers and gold-savings brands use creators for festive and bridal content.
  • Manufacturing. The industrial belt at Pithampur supplies automobile and other parts. Creators matter here mostly for recruitment and B2B visibility, via LinkedIn and B2B creators.
  • IT and services. The Super Corridor and Crystal IT Park house tech and services employers, and their young staff are reached by lifestyle and finance creators.
  • Education and coaching. IIM Indore, IIT Indore, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and many colleges and coaching lanes bring a large student audience. See edtech and education.
  • Restaurants and cafés. A constant stream of new openings makes restaurants and QSR the busiest creator category in the city.

Language, communities and the creator scene

Indore speaks Hindi with a distinctive Malwi softness, and the city's Marathi legacy from the Holkar era, together with Gujarati, Marwari and Sindhi communities, shapes its food, festivals and humour. Creators who understand that mix slip in a word of Marathi at Ganesh festival time or a Gujarati greeting during Navratri, and local viewers notice.

Four creator types carry most paid work: food creators, student and campus creators, comedy and relatable-skit creators, and fashion and fitness creators from the newer neighbourhoods. Smaller cities tend to engage more than metros, and A 2026 creator survey reported by Campaign India puts tier-2 city engagement at 3.5 to 4.5 percent against 3 to 4 percent in metros, though that is one vendor's estimate. We treat it as a reason to test micro-influencers in Indore, not as a guarantee.

One local pride point is useful for some brands. Indore has repeatedly topped the national Swachh Survekshan cleanliness survey, and residents bring it up themselves. Home care, personal care and sustainability brands can build civic-pride content around it, with one caution: any environmental claim in a script must be provable.

A student city, and what it means for campaigns

Students arrive from smaller towns across Madhya Pradesh and beyond for engineering, management, medicine, commerce and coaching, and they fill the lanes around Bhawarkuan and AB Road along with hostels and PGs in the nearby colonies. Their month is a budget: rent, tiffin, data, a phone upgrade and a trip home.

That creates category after category of campaigns. Banks and fintech apps want first-account sign-ups, phone and laptop brands want the admissions window, food delivery wants the late-night order and PG-finder apps want the July move-in. The best student creators are one or two years ahead of their audience: they know which tiffin service is reliable and what the first-year fee actually covers. For admissions work, ask for scripts that show the campus and the cost honestly. Claims about placements or ranks must be provable, and a creator should never promise a result.

The Indore calendar

  • Rang Panchami (March). Five days after Holi, the Gair procession fills the streets around Rajwada with colour. Beauty, fashion and food brands run content around it.
  • Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi (August to September). The festival ends with a procession of tableaux, or jhankis, a tradition reported to be nearly a century old. Crowds line the route, so shoot positions need to be booked early.
  • Navratri (September to October). Garba nights and ethnic wear, led by the city's Gujarati communities.
  • Diwali (October to November). Sarafa, Rajwada and Khajrana markets. Sweets, namkeen, jewellery and home gifting peak.
  • Winter (December to February). Garadu and bhutte ka kees season, plus the wedding season.
  • Exams and admissions (March to June). Coaching and college campaigns.
  • Monsoon (July to September). Day trips to Patalpani, Mandu, Omkareshwar and Ujjain make Indore a base for travel creators.

Most of these dates float with the lunar calendar. We check the year's panchang first, then book creators.

Where Indore shoots and meets

Rajwada is the old centre and the backdrop for festival and fashion content, though the crowds mean shoots are best before shops open. Lal Bagh Palace, the Holkar-era palace, is run by the state, so events and commercial filming there need prior permission. Sarafa at night is atmospheric and busy; we agree with stall owners before a crew arrives, and keep crews small. Chappan Dukan is compact, so one creator at a time works better than a group. Khajrana and other temple precincts are faith spaces and not suited to commercial filming.

For launches and creator meetups, Vijay Nagar cafés and hotel terraces are the practical choices: parking is easier and lighting is controllable. In the monsoon, Patalpani and the Mandu, Omkareshwar and Ujjain day trips give travel creators material, and Indore's airport and highways make it an easy base. Our creator events and meetups service handles invitations, a run of show and content briefs.

How we run it, from tasting to report

  1. Brief and call. We ask for the neighbourhood your buyer lives in and the time of day they decide, since a lunch crowd and a night crowd are different audiences.
  2. Creator plan in 48 hours. Each creator comes with a Gully Score, audience split and a note on where and when they film.
  3. Vetting for food. For food creators we check comment quality. Real food audiences ask "kahan hai?" and "kitne ka?". A thread of generic emojis is a flag.
  4. Contracts and disclosure. Every post carries a label upfront. Free meals count as a material connection under ASCI rules, so tasting posts are labelled too. See our ASCI explainer.
  5. Tastings and shipping. For restaurants, we book staggered tasting slots. For packaged foods, we send a kit with a recipe card.
  6. Report. A weekly tracker covers views, saves, code redemptions and cost per result.

Frequently asked questions

Can an Indore outlet launch be run without a local office?

No. We are in New Delhi. Tasting slots, sample shipping and shoot permissions are fixed during planning, local creators handle the on-site work and our strategist travels in for launches. Nothing depends on someone walking into your outlet, and you see every creator and draft before it goes live.

What does an influencer marketing company in Indore charge for a food campaign?

Food campaigns have more lines than a fee: creator fees, the meals or sample packs, courier, and the agency fee, which published benchmarks put at about 15 to 25 percent of creator spend. We show them separately so you can see what each costs. The influencer rates guide lists creator ranges by tier.

Which Indore creators suit a restaurant or street-food brand?

Neighbourhood food creators whose followers live within a short drive, with a mix of nano creators for tastings and micro creators for reach. For Sarafa or Chappan Dukan, we pick creators who film at night and answer comments about price. See our restaurants and QSR page.

Can a packaged snack brand use Indore creators to reach the whole country?

Yes. Indore's snack and namkeen tradition gives creators credibility on taste, and recipe and snack-hack content travels well in Hindi. We pair Indore creators with Hindi food creators in other cities and track search lift and coupon use. See FMCG, food and beverage.

How do I run a campaign for an Indore coaching institute or college?

Use student creators and recent alumni who are a year or two ahead of your audience, and keep claims provable: results, placements and ranks must be substantiated before a script is approved. Our edtech and education page explains how we plan admissions content, scholarship-test pushes and campus visits within ASCI rules.

Can influencers help during Diwali if we brief late?

A late brief can still work with nano and micro creators, UGC and gifting, which move faster than celebrity deals. Plans arrive in 48 hours and micro campaigns typically go live in two to three weeks. For Diwali, brief at least six weeks early to avoid paying peak-season rates.

Is Indore's cleanliness record a useful campaign hook?

For some brands. Indore has repeatedly topped the national Swachh Survekshan cleanliness survey, and residents are proud of it. Sustainability, home care, personal care and civic-minded brands can use it, but any environmental claim a creator makes must be provable and never exaggerated. We check scripts for this before drafts reach you.
