In short
- A good kit is one page with nine blocks: who you are, audience, performance, best content, past work, services, rates, terms and contact. Date every number.
- Lead with medians, not peaks: median views on your last 10 Reels, engagement with its formula and your top three audience cities from a dated screenshot.
- Put rights and exclusivity on the rate page as separate lines, state your GST status, and keep rates on a second page you can swap per brand.
- Under 10,000 followers, send the five-fact version. A short true kit beats a long inflated one.
An influencer media kit should fit on one page and answer what a brand asks before it books you: who you are, who watches, how your posts perform, what you have made, what you sell and on what terms. Fill the nine blocks below with dated numbers, send the PDF with your pitch, and refresh it every month. A brand will check each number against your public profile, so a short true kit does more for you than a long glossy one.
This post is the creator's template. If you want to see how a brand reads one, our brand-side post on what to look for in an influencer media kit lists the checks and red flags. For the price lines, see what creators charge in India, and for the wider market your kit sits in, read our guide to influencer marketing in India.
What the brand does with your kit
A brand manager opens your kit, then your profile. They compare followers today with the kit, look at the last ten Reels for views, and open your audience screenshots for cities and age. Then they forward the page to someone who approves budget. That person may never open your profile, so the kit has to survive being read alone on a phone.
Build for that second reader. Plain labels, big numbers, dates on everything and no jargon you would not use out loud.
The nine-block template
| # | Block | What goes in it | Where the number comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Header | Name, one-line niche, city, languages, handles with links, a clear photo | You |
| 2 | Audience | Followers today, top three cities with shares, age bands, gender split, main language | Platform insights, dated screenshot |
| 3 | Performance | Median views on your last 10 Reels, accounts reached in 30 days, engagement rate with its formula, median saves and shares | Platform insights and the public post counts |
| 4 | Best content | Links to your three best and three typical posts | Your grid |
| 5 | Past work | Brand, month, deliverable, link to the post; mark gifted posts as gifted | Your posts |
| 6 | Services | Formats you offer and what each includes: concept, shoot, edit, captions, revision rounds | You |
| 7 | Rates (page 2) | Price per deliverable, with rights, exclusivity and rush as separate lines | See the rate-page section |
| 8 | Working terms | Turnaround in days, draft approval steps, how you label ads, GST status | You |
| 9 | Contact | Business email, manager if any, GST and PAN status on request | You |

A filled example
Where each number comes from
Use your platform's own insights, and save a dated screenshot of each screen.
| Number | YouTube | Date rule | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Followers or subscribers | Your profile | Channel page | Today's count |
| Top cities, age, gender | Professional-account insights, audience tab | YouTube Studio, analytics, audience | Within the last 30 days |
| Median views | Public view counts on your last 10 Reels, take the middle value | Views on your last 10 videos in the first 28 days | List the posts used |
| Accounts reached | Insights, 30-day reach | Studio, reach tab | Within the last 30 days |
| Engagement | Public likes and comments plus saves and shares from insights | Studio, engagement | Last 12 posts |
Menu names change, so if you cannot find a screen, search the app for "insights" or "analytics". Our brand-side post on reading audience insights shows what brands do with each screen.
Use medians and state the formula
Brands trust a kit that does not flatter itself. In a 2025 study reported by MediaNews4u, 39% of marketers said engagement rate and 36% said content quality are better indicators of performance than reach. Two habits do most of the work.
Use the median, not the average. One viral Reel can lift an average views figure for months. List your ten views in order and take the middle. If you want to show the peak, label it as your best Reel, with its date.
Say how engagement was calculated. The formula in our engagement rate calculator is likes, comments, saves and shares added up, divided by followers and multiplied by 100, averaged over the last 10 to 12 posts. Typical Instagram ranges used on this site are:
| Tier | Typical engagement |
|---|---|
| Nano | 5 to 10% |
| Micro | 3 to 6% |
| Mid-tier | 1.5 to 4% |
| Macro | 1 to 2.5% |
These are benchmarks from published guides, not rules, and our engagement benchmarks post explains how far to trust them. If your number sits well above the range, expect a brand to look at your comments for pod activity; see engagement pods explained.
Page two: rates and terms
Put prices on their own page so you can send them after a brand tells you the scope. List a price per deliverable and what it covers, then each extra on its own line.
| Line | Example wording | Example price |
|---|---|---|
| Reel | Up to 45 seconds, two revision rounds | ₹18,000 |
| Story set | 3 frames, link sticker | ₹6,000 |
| Brand repost on its own handle | 30 days | +25 to 40% |
| Paid usage in ads | Named handles, 30 days | +35% per 30 days |
| Exclusivity | Named competitors, 30 days | +40% |
| Rush | Delivery in under 48 hours | +25 to 40% |
| Extra revision round | Beyond two rounds | ₹5,000 to ₹30,000 each |
| GST | 18% extra if registered | See your GST status |
The ₹18,000 and ₹6,000 are invented to match the example above. Percentages follow the ranges published in rate guides, which are asking prices and not audited data. How to choose your own numbers is in how much to charge as an influencer in India, and the brand-side view of the same lines is in our rate card guide. To see what each right means, read usage rights for influencer content.
State your GST position plainly, because a 2026 vendor survey, covered by Campaign India, found only 15.2% of creators are registered as a business entity or GST individual. If you are not registered, say so and do not add GST. Our post on GST registration for influencers explains when that changes.
The trust block
Brands share responsibility with you for disclosure, so show that you know the rules. One line is enough: every paid, gifted or barter post carries the platform's partnership tool and an on-screen label such as Ad or Collab, as ASCI requires. Details are in the ASCI guidelines guide.
Add your turnaround, your approval steps and who signs contracts. Brands remember a creator who says "draft in five days, two revision rounds" more than one with a lovelier layout.
Brands that cast micro creators in bulk, as we do in our micro and nano influencer service, compare dozens of kits side by side. The ones that make the shortlist have the same fields in the same places, so keep the nine blocks in the order shown.
The nano version: five facts
Under 10,000 followers, a full kit can look inflated. Send this instead, in the body of your message or on one page:
- Followers today
- Median views on your last 10 Reels
- Top three audience cities, from a dated screenshot
- Links to up to three recent posts, with brand posts marked
- Your price for a Reel and a Story set, with rights stated
Mistakes that make a kit untrustworthy
- Peak numbers presented as typical. "Up to 800K views" tells a brand your best day.
- Undated screenshots. A brand cannot tell if they are from last week or last year.
- A logo wall with no links. Brands check; an unverifiable list reads as padding.
- One price for everything. Rights and exclusivity belong on separate lines.
- A kit that does not match your profile. If followers or views differ, the brand believes the profile.
The message that carries the kit
The kit does not replace the email. Send three lines and attach the PDF:
Hi [name], I make [niche] content in [language] from [city]. My last 10 Reels have a median of [views] views and my audience is [share]% in [city or region], which looks close to your buyer. Kit attached; I will send rates once I know the scope. Happy to share a fresh insights screen share if useful.
That message names one number that matters to the brand, offers proof and makes replying easy. Our post on how to pitch brands builds the full pitch around it.
Send it and keep it fresh
Name the file with your name and the month, such as yourname-media-kit-nov-2026.pdf, and keep it small enough to open on a phone. Put a short link version in your bio. Each month, replace the screenshots, recompute your medians and update the date.
You can use the same kit when you pitch brands, when you apply to networks and when an agency asks for your numbers. If you want briefs to come to you, join the Influencer Gully network on the for creators page. It is free, and when we review a profile we look at the same things this kit shows: niche, audience, engagement and content.

Frequently asked questions
What should an influencer media kit include?
Nine blocks: a header with your niche line, an audience snapshot, performance numbers, three best and three typical posts, past brand work with links, the services you offer, a rate page, working terms and contact details. Every number needs a date. Keep the main kit to one page and the rates to a second.
How long should a media kit be?
One page for the kit and one page for rates and terms. Brands read on phones between meetings, so a six-page deck loses them. Send a PDF that opens quickly on mobile data, and keep a link version for your bio. Add detail only when a brand asks for it.
Do I need a media kit with fewer than 10,000 followers?
Not formally. Send five facts on one page instead: followers today, median views on your last 10 Reels, top three audience cities, links to up to three recent brand posts and your rates for a Reel and a Story set. See the nano version in this post and our nano influencer rates.
How often should I update my media kit?
Monthly, and after any big change such as a viral Reel or a follower drop. Brands treat insights older than about 30 days as stale, and they compare your kit with your live profile. A dated kit that matches your profile earns more trust than a polished one that does not.
Should I put my rates in my media kit?
Put them on a separate second page and send that page once a brand shares the scope. Show a price per deliverable with what it includes, and list rights, exclusivity and rush as separate lines. Avoid 'starting at' and 'DM for rates'. Our guide on how much to charge sets the numbers.
Where do I get my audience numbers?
From your platform's own insights: Instagram's professional-account insights and YouTube Studio's analytics. Take screenshots that show the date, and save a fresh set each month. Never use a third-party site's modelled numbers as if they were your insights. Brands know how to read these screens, as our guide to reading audience insights shows.
