YouTube influencer rates in India: dedicated videos, integrations and Shorts

A micro YouTube channel in India asks about ₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh for a dedicated video, ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 for an integration and ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 for a Short. This post shows how those prices are built, why views beat subscribers, and what regional-language channels cost.

In short

  • Dedicated video, integration and Short are three different products. A micro channel asks ₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh, ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 and ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 for them respectively, before GST.
  • Price YouTube on average views of the last 10 to 15 videos and on audience retention at the integration slot. Subscriber count describes the channel, not the people who watch.
  • One published card puts regional-language channels 40 to 60 percent below Hindi or English ones. It is a single low-confidence source, and a cheap fee can cost more per view.
  • YouTube ad CPM figures show what creators earn from ads, not what brands pay for a sponsored segment. Do not use them to judge a quote.

YouTube influencer rates in India depend first on the product you buy. A micro channel (10,000 to 1 lakh subscribers) typically asks ₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh for a dedicated video, ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 for a 60 to 90 second integration and ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 for a Short. A macro channel asks ₹3 to ₹15 lakh, ₹2 to ₹6 lakh and ₹60,000 to ₹3 lakh for the same three. All figures are asking prices per video, before GST.

Our guide to influencer marketing cost in India tabulates every platform. This post goes deeper on YouTube only: how the three products differ, what the published cards say source by source, how to price a slot on views and retention, and what regional-language channels cost. Run a budget through the influencer cost calculator, and if you are new to the channel, start with our complete guide to influencer marketing in India.

The three YouTube products and what each costs

ProductWhat you getMicro (10K to 100K)Mid-tier (100K to 500K)Macro (500K to 1M)
Dedicated videoThe whole video is about your product₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh₹3 lakh to ₹15 lakh
Integration (60 to 90 seconds)A segment inside a normal video₹15,000 to ₹60,000₹60,000 to ₹2.5 lakh₹2 lakh to ₹6 lakh
ShortA vertical video under a minute₹8,000 to ₹40,000₹40,000 to ₹1.5 lakh₹60,000 to ₹3 lakh

Published cards define an integration as 60 to 180 seconds, and our table uses the shorter end. Nano channels (1,000 to 10,000 subscribers) ask ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 for a dedicated video, ₹3,000 to ₹12,000 for an integration and ₹2,000 to ₹8,000 for a Short. Mega channels (1 million and above) ask ₹8 lakh to ₹50 lakh, ₹5 lakh to ₹25 lakh and ₹2 lakh to ₹8 lakh.

Dedicated video. You get the full runtime, the title and thumbnail, and the creator's detailed opinion. It suits products that need explaining: a phone, a laptop, a course, a mattress. It also costs the most, and the creator will want creative control, which is why the contract should fix the claims you need said and the claims you forbid.

Integration. You get a slot inside a video the audience already came for. It suits a product that needs thirty seconds, not ten minutes: an app, a food item, an accessory. The slot position matters, and so do links in the description and a pinned comment.

Short. A Short is a discovery format. Published guides, two of which share figures, say Shorts are priced close to Reels. If your goal is a quick look at the product, a Short does the job. If your goal is a considered purchase, it does not replace the long video.

What the published cards say, source by source

Cards disagree on YouTube as much as on Instagram, and the macro rows disagree most. Treat the table below as a bracket.

ProductSource type (date)MicroMacro or mid-sized tech and finance
Dedicated videoMedia agency rate guide (May 2026)₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh₹5 lakh to ₹25 lakh and above
Dedicated videoTalent-booking platform (Mar 2026)₹30,000 to ₹1.5 lakh₹2 lakh to ₹15 lakh
Dedicated videoCelebrity marketplace (2026)₹10,000 to ₹50,000₹1.5 lakh to ₹3 lakh
Dedicated reviewDigital agency guide (Apr 2026)not given₹5 lakh to ₹12 lakh on a 500K-subscriber tech or finance channel
IntegrationTwo agency guides sharing one figurenot given₹2.5 lakh to ₹6 lakh for 60 to 180 seconds on a mid-sized tech or finance channel
IntegrationTalent-booking platform (60 seconds)₹15,000 to ₹60,000₹80,000 to ₹5 lakh
ShortTalent-booking platform₹10,000 to ₹40,000₹60,000 to ₹2 lakh
ShortCelebrity marketplace₹20,000 to ₹40,000₹40,000 to ₹1.6 lakh
ShortCreator-education guide₹5,000 to ₹20,000not given

The celebrity marketplace's macro dedicated-video band sits far below the others, and we could not tell how it defines macro. Two of the agency cards share identical figures, so they count as one view.

Views-based pricing: how to price a slot

A subscriber count is the total of everyone who ever subscribed, including people who stopped watching long ago. More than 18,000 Indian channels have crossed 1 million subscribers, according to Oxford Economics figures reported by Business Today, so the million-subscriber label no longer marks a rare channel. Even the entry bar for earning from ads is not about reach: the YouTube Partner Program asks for 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 public watch hours in 12 months or 10 million valid public Shorts views in 90 days. None of these numbers tells you what your slot will reach. Price from views.

Step 1. Get average views. Ask for average views on the last 10 to 15 long videos, with any viral outlier removed, and for the same on Shorts if you are buying them.

Step 2. Check retention at your slot. YouTube Studio shows how many viewers are still watching at each point. An integration at the 30-second mark reaches almost everyone who clicked. One at minute six of a ten-minute video reaches only those who stayed.

Step 3. Divide. Cost per 1,000 views is the fee divided by average views, times 1,000. Divide by the share still watching at your slot to get cost per 1,000 viewers who saw your segment.

Step 4. Compare. No reliable India benchmark for creator-sponsorship CPM exists, so the comparison has to be yours. One published test calls a creator competitive when cost per engaged view is within 1.5x of your own paid-media cost, and overpriced at 3x or more.

Do not use YouTube CPM figures from creator-earnings guides. They show what creators earn per 1,000 ad views, not what brands pay for a sponsored slot.

Regional-language channels

One published guide puts regional-language YouTube channels 40 to 60 percent below Hindi or English channels. We found no second source, so treat it as a negotiating reference and not a rule. It does match a wider pattern: an influencer platform's 2026 survey, covered by Campaign India, found more than 62 percent of surveyed creators receiving more regional-language campaign briefs.

A 40 to 60 percent discount on a ₹60,000 Hindi dedicated video gives ₹24,000 to ₹36,000 for a regional-language channel of similar size. That is the fee, not the value. A smaller audience can turn a lower fee into a higher cost per view:

Hindi channelRegional-language channel
Dedicated video fee₹60,000₹30,000 (50% less)
Assumed average views30,00012,000
Cost per 1,000 views₹2,000₹2,500

The figures are assumptions for illustration. The regional channel is half the fee but 25 percent dearer per view. It may still be the better buy if the viewers are your buyers, and no published source compares conversion by language, so decide with a small test. Our service page on regional influencer marketing covers how we cast across languages.

Niche and add-ons on YouTube

Tech and finance channels sit at the top of every band. One published guide puts a dedicated review on a 500,000-subscriber tech or finance channel at ₹5 lakh to ₹12 lakh. Our post on influencer fees by niche shows the published multipliers, and our influencer rate card guide shows how to read each add-on line on a creator's card.

Add-onPublished effectYouTube note
Brand repost or usage rights+25% to 40% for reposts; +20% to 50% per extra monthState the channels and the period
Exclusivity+30% to 50% for 30 days; +80% to 150% for 90 daysNarrow it to named competitors
Brand-written script₹15,000 to ₹50,000 for some mid-tier creators, plus 15% to 25% for revisionsBrief the points to cover and the claims to avoid. A fully scripted segment costs more
Revisions beyond two rounds₹5,000 to ₹30,000 eachApprove the outline before filming
Rush under 48 hours+25% to 40%Brief two to three weeks ahead
ProductionFrom about ₹5,000 to several lakhStudio, second camera and graphics all add up

Two terms are rarely priced but should be written down: how long the video stays public, and how long the link in the description and the pinned comment stay in place. A sponsored video keeps collecting views for months, which is the main reason a YouTube slot can be worth more than its day-one numbers suggest (our reading, not a published figure).

Frequently asked questions

How much do YouTubers charge for a sponsorship in India?

A micro channel (10K to 100K subscribers) typically asks ₹20,000 to ₹1.2 lakh for a dedicated video and ₹15,000 to ₹60,000 for an integration. A macro channel asks ₹3 to ₹15 lakh and ₹2 to ₹6 lakh. Tech and finance channels sit at the top of each band. See the rates guide for other platforms.

What is the difference between a YouTube dedicated video and an integration?

A dedicated video is entirely about your product. An integration is a segment of 60 to 180 seconds inside a creator's normal video. A dedicated video costs more and gives you the full runtime, while an integration reaches the creator's usual audience at lower cost. See YouTube influencer marketing for when we use each.

Do YouTube Shorts cost less than Instagram Reels?

Mostly no. Published guides say Shorts are priced close to Reels, and the ranges overlap heavily. A Short from a micro creator typically costs ₹8,000 to ₹40,000. A creator who already makes your long video can often add a Short at a discount, so ask for both in one quote.

Are regional-language YouTube channels cheaper?

One published guide puts regional-language channels 40 to 60 percent below Hindi or English channels. We found no second source, and a lower fee can still mean a higher cost per 1,000 views if the channel is smaller. Compare on views, then read about regional influencer marketing.

Should I pay a YouTuber by subscribers or by views?

By views. Subscribers include inactive and one-time viewers, and two channels with the same count can differ several times in average views. Ask for average views on the last 10 to 15 videos, excluding any viral outlier, plus the audience retention graph for the slot you are buying.

Can I run a YouTuber's video as an ad?

Yes, if the contract gives you the right. Published cards add 25 to 40 percent for brand reposts and 20 to 50 percent per extra month of usage, and whitelisting adds more. Agree the right and the period before the video goes live. See creator ads and whitelisting.
